2026 Annual Non-Equity Auditions
Joint auditions with Children’s Theater of Madison
It’s a one-stop shop for non-Equity actors this year!
CTM and Forward are pleased to announce that they will host their 2026 non-Equity general auditions jointly. What does that mean for actors? Convenience, we hope! Both companies’ audition dates are at the same time and same place, but separate rooms. Whether you’re looking to audition for one company or both, we’d love to see you, and we hope this makes it a little easier for you to be seen.
Location, Dates, and Times
Auditions will be held at Madison Youth Arts (1055 W. Mifflin St.) on the following dates:
Sunday, March 1, 2026, 1:00-5:00 PM
Monday, March 2, 2026, 5:00-10:00 PM

Can’t attend, or audition slots full when you try to register? Keep us up to date on your work!
1. Send an updated headshot and resume to Artistic Associate Marcella Kearns at auditions@forwardtheater.com, and let us know where you are based.
2. Cancellations may occur. Please check back periodically on the registration site if you’d like to be seen. (We would keep a waiting list, but sign-ups sometimes happen swifter than our ability to monitor them!)
3. We are not accepting video submissions, but please feel free to share information about any projects on which you’re working this year.

Please note that each company is posting separate sign-up links.. Signing up for an audition slot with one company does not mean the other will be in that audition room, nor that materials and notes will be shared. If you’d like to be seen by both companies, please make sure to schedule time with both.
In addition, though Forward and CTM cannot guarantee that your audition slots will be spaced at your greatest convenience, we’ll do what we can to accommodate in the event of overlap on the day of.

Audition Materials
Please check with each company for requested audition material and headshot/resume requirements. For Forward auditions, we ask the following:
Materials: Please bring one copy of your headshot and resume if available. (Registration will allow you to upload a digital version; this alternative affords you either option to leave us your materials.)
Audition preparation: Please prepare one contemporary monologue (post-1950) of no more than two minutes, or two contemporary monologues of no more than one minute each.
