Registration required - register HERE
Wisconsin Veterans Museum
30 W. Mifflin St.
Madison, WI 53703
Join novelist Erin Celello for a creative writing workshop, tailored specifically for veterans and military family members. Erin is the author of Miracle Beach and Learning to Stay, a post-war drama which was adapted for the FTC stage during the 2016-17 season. She is also an English professor at UW-Whitewater, where she has offered veteran-focused creative writing classes. This workshop is intended to help veterans connect with other veterans and their families, while accessing their creative side to express and share experiences and perspectives.
PLAY CLUB AND LIBRARY MONOLOGUES
For the third year in a row, the Dane County Public Libraries will host several play club meetings in conjunction with each Forward Theater show. It's fun and easy to take part: just sign up at a participating library to attend the meeting, check out a script and study guide at your library when they arrive, and then head to your library for the discussion. The conversation will be led by a Forward Theater Company artist, and scenes from the play will be read aloud by Forward Theater actors.
Also back by popular demand is the Library Monologue Series, which features performances from our previous monologue festivals by Forward Theater artists, followed by a talkback.
Dates and times for the Play Clubs and Monologue Series are listed below. And if you would like your branch of the public library to host one of these events, please let them (and us) know!
